The Story of Jim Murple CD (French Import)

The Jim Murple Memorial are an exciting French Traditional Ska band with some serious chops! They feature male and female vocals and excellent musicianship. Their music is very much steeped in the tradition of Jamaican Ska, Rocksteady, and Reggae. They aren't playing the "Early Reggae" that a lot of American and European bands have been grooving with recently. They're much more in the style of Traditional Ska and Soul with a talented horn section that bands like Hepcat made popular in the 1990's. And of course, they add their own French flair to the music. The female vocals sound like a French version of Billie Holiday or Phyllis Dillon. This is good stuff!!
