Spring is sprung!!! Kind of? In case you didn't know, most of the Stubborn Records back-catalog and all of our newer releases are now available for download through popular sites like iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby and others. I'm working really hard to get the rest of the back catalog available online and to continue to bring you a steady flow of new vinyl, CDs, T-shirts and more! Are you signed up on our e-mail lists for special exclusive announcements, invitations and discounts? Remember, I am always very interested in getting to know you better and hearing what you think, so please LIKE US ON FACEBOOK, or drop by the Stubborn Records Forums at http://www.stubbornrecords.com/forums and join in on the discussions, get the latest news and all that good stuff! ---KING DJANGO Have you checked out the Version City Podcast yet? We're up to #14 now. It's a gas, we promise! Check it out for all kinds of sneak previews, classic cuts and general shenanigans! Also have a listen to our STUBBORN RECORDS JUKEBOX! at jukebox.stubbornrecords.com. You can check out a bunch of our own fine Stubborn Records releases there right now. We'll be adding more in the coming weeks, as well as sample tracks from our friends' indie bands and labels. Dear friends, keep in mind that we are a REAL underground, independent, DIY label/store, run by artists to support art! In this time of plummeting music sales (due to widespread internet piracy!), decreased attendance at live venues and widespread economic difficulties, your continued love and support is especially appreciated. Our artists and friends, this music and this scene survive based only on your ongoing friendship and blessings. As always, we pledge to continually support the scene by putting out great music from new young artists and scene veterans playing all of the different styles of music inspired by the original masters of Jamaica! We will also continue to search far and wide to bring you the best in authentic classic ska, rocksteady, early ("skinhead") reggae, roots, dub and dancehall. We're also striving to lend our support to the new generation of bands and musicians playing all of the different styles of music inspired by the original masters of Jamaica! Always feel free to drop us a line any time with your comments, suggestions or wish lists and we will do our best to accomodate you! We're also currently looking to assemble street teams to hand out flyers and promotional items at shows and festivals. If you're interested, please get in touch! |
